The purpose of this resume is to secure a position as a project manager for an interior or general contractor. Lotspeich Company, Inc currently employs me as a project manager. I have been employed in this manner since 2005.

I have a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Miami, four years experience in customer service for Publix Supermarkets, two years experience in an engineering environment as a owner's representative for construction projects through my last position as Senior Telecommunications Field Supervisor for the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, and three years experience as a project manager with Lotspeich Company, among other jobs.

I am looking to continue and further my career as a project manager for an interior contractor or a general contractor.  I am looking for a compensation package which includes a competitive salary (at least $90,000 and varying depending on the quality of other benefits and the amount of the commission) plus commission (typical in my current area is 10% of all job profit in excess of $200,000 per year), health insurance (dental and vision a plus), car expenses reimbursed (gas, tolls, parking, maintenance, and a monthly stipend to cover wear and tear; a company car may be considered as an alternate), 4 weeks of vacation per year, sick leave and personal days as may be needed, paternity leave of at least 2 weeks (I plan to have 2-4 more children in the future), an office (my choice of cabinetry and furniture is a plus) or work from home with a stipend for office supplies, reimbursement for work expenses (gifts/meals with clients, office supplies, etc), a cell phone with e-mail access (my choice a plus), relocation assistance a plus, and most importantly a good friendly working environment.  I prefer to work for a company that treats employees like family and where hard work is noticed and rewarded.  Since I am searching for a job in Maryland, and my work experience is all in Florida, I will need some assistance learning the local building codes and I will need some time to make contacts at local firms.  I believe that I can overcome these obstacles faster than average and that I will be an asset to your firm.

I will bring a variety of experience, most recently that of a project manager, as well as a wealth of knowledge, to my company.  I have more than just job experience.  My father is an English Professor at the University of Miami and I have excellent written and verbal communication skills (no one has assisted me in the preparation of this resume).  Since written skills are so important to my position as a project manager, I would be willing to submit college essays as part of my portfolio if requested to do so.  If you need my skills as a webmaster, a phone technician, or a computer technician; I offer these skills as well.  Also, my specialization in college was business law, so I have an in depth knowledge of contracts, liens and other aspects of law.

My interior construction experience includes drywall, doors and hardware, bathroom partition and accessory installation, acoustical ceilings, metal ceilings, wood ceilings and computer access floors.  Through subcontractors, I have also carried stucco/plaster, painting/wallcovering, carpeting and other miscellaneous details.

My resume is attached.  I can provide references if needed.  My current company does not know that I am searching for a job, and I will need to give them sufficient notice if I am hired, so I am available to start work approximately 2-4 weeks after receiving a job offer from your firm.
