To Whom It May Concern:

I am contacting you regarding an open position with your company. My educational background in business, along with my professional experience, makes me an excellent candidate for this position.

As you will see from the enclosed resume, I have an MBA in business law and more than 6 years of experience in the field of project management. My resume shows that I have been consistently rewarded for hard work with promotions, increased responsibilities, and performance bonuses. These rewards are a direct result of my expertise in management, contracts, negotiations and communication, my commitment to personal and professional excellence, and my excellent written and oral communication skills (my father is the chair of the English department at the University of Miami).

I am a motivated, personable business professional with multiple college degrees and a successful 8 year track record of managing projects from estimate and contract (sales) through all phases of the project lifecycle (management), and on to completion. I have a talent for quickly mastering technology and am fluent in every version of Microsoft Office and Windows. I am diplomatic and tactful with professionals and non-professionals at all levels; and accustomed to handling sensitive, confidential records. I have a demonstrated history of managing employees and negotiating with suppliers and customers on contracts ranging from $10,000 to $5,000,000.

I am considered to be a computer whiz who is capable of handling any system put in front of me, and my technical knowledge lends me to be a personable and helpful employee to have around even when that isnít my primary job. I am an expert at Microsoft Office, Windows, accounting software and much more. I have two mission statements that I live my life by. One is that the true measure of success is how you overcome obstacles. And the other is my family's motto: for the brave and faithful man, nothing is difficult.

I am seeking a full time position working in Miami, Orlando, or around Washington, DC (or telecommuting from my home office) that offers a competitive salary, PPO health insurance, and other benefits as appropriate.

If you have questions, or want to schedule an interview, please contact me at 786-298-0896. I look forward to meeting with you to further discuss all available employment opportunities.

Sincerely,

Brendan McCarthy
Enclosure
