From 2003-2005, I worked for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.  I was hired to help with the transition of fire stations around the county from older key style phone systems to the newer IP-based headquarters phone system.  I quickly grew to the part and started to take on other initiatives.  I was soon working on the headquarters phone system, the phone systems at all 67 fire stations and support buildings that were in place at the time, the planning of new fire stations and the construction of new fire stations.  I was also working on not only the phone system, but also the data systems, radio systems, and the stations' recall systems and rip-and-run printers.  This work lead me to a stronger focus on new station design, and started me on a path toward construction project management, which would be my next job.  I have some pictures, but I need to add them to this site.  For now, if anyone has any pictures of me or my work at the fire department, please e-mail them to me.  Thanks!
