While I was in high school and starting college, I was a staff member at an observatory called SFAAA (the South Florida Amateur Astronomer's Association) in Markham Park in Broward County, Florida.  This group is a great set of amateur astronomers and a wonderfull community resource.  I plan on rejoining their ranks one day when my life slows down and I regain my Saturday nights.  They provide a free public observatory session every Saturday night (weather permitting).  I hope to scan some of my old photos of the observatory and the events we did soon...
